  Joyrama Appusamy, LL.B (Lond)

Joyrama is a director of First Principles (FP) and brings with him more than 20 years of legal experience, fifteen of which were in the media and communications sector. Joyrama started out his legal career practicing commercial litigation specialising in maritime and international trade law. He served a 6-year stint as Head Legal Counsel (Technology) for ASTRO and  was a member of the pioneer management team that established ASTRO. Later he Rejoined practice this time focussing on the Communications &  Multimedia sector. Presently, Joyrama is a director of First Principles, and continues to expand his expertise to include Data Protection and privacy.
  Datin Meha Sivamohan, B.S. (UPM), M.Sc (LSE), LL.B (London)

Datin Meha started as a lecturer in Accounting and Finance for undergraduate and MBA programs in UPM. Upon entering legal practice her focus was taxation,  advising on  income tax, corporate tax, real property gains tax, stamp duty, estate duty and customs duty. In the recent past, Datin Meha served as General Counsel of Maxis Communications and was a member of the Maxis Senior Leadership Team.  She led major negotiations and played a key role in the first  Maxis IPO, restructuring and M&A activities. Datin Meha is currently a principal consultant  in First Principles focussing on the C&M Sector and Data Protection.
  Pushpa Nair, LL.B (Mal), LL.M (Cantab)

Pushpa qualified as a lawyer in 1986 and has worked as in-house counsel in several regional multinationals involved in independent power production, telecommunications & broadcasting and consumer goods. More recently, Pushpa has been primarily involved in telecom regulation, first with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (1999 to March 2007) and then with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, United Arab Emirates (May 2007 to April 2009). Pushpa is currently a principal consultant in First Principles focussing on the C&M Sector, Data Protection and Competition.


  Chee-Wah Cheah, Ph.D, heads the Economic & Competition Policy Pracitice. His specialisms are competition economics, telecommunications access pricing and regulation, and the economics of networked industries. He has worked closely with regulatory agencies in Australia and Singapore and networked industry clients, government agencies and economic regulators in Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore on the design and implementation of telecommunications-specific and general competition regulation as well as network industry clients on their regulatory and commercial strategies. He has advised Australian State cabinets on policy, held teaching and Research Fellow positions in Universities in Australia and Japan and contributed to journal and other publications.
 
  Pagee Khera BA (USM), LL.B(London)

Pagee is an Information Technology (IT)  specialist and brings with her more than 20 years of IT legal experience.
Post admission to the BAR, Pagee worked in the computer industry as General Counsel for about 18 years. Later she branched out to offer consultancy in the area of Communications & Multimedia Law.  She is also a renowned trainer and  has conducted numerous public training courses in her areas of expertise. Pagee is now a principal consultant with First Principles and offers advise and training on Data Protection Law and IT related Law.
